FAQ

Is CrossPointe Church affiliated with any denomination? Yes, we are a part of the Assemblies of God. (click here for more information!)

What should I wear on Sunday mornings? Casual is definitely the norm, so wear something comfortable and you'll blend right in.

What do you provide for children? On Sunday mornings our staff works hard to provide the most impactful and relevant environment possible for each age group of children. In doing so, our hope is that every child will begin to understand God's love and that his ways lead to the best life possible. All of this takes place in a fun, safe, creative, nurturing environment designed just for kids.

What do you provide for teens? Our youth ministry is committed to providing a relevant and engaging environment for students to connect with one another while pursuing a life-changing relationship with Jesus. They currently meet on Wednesday nights.

What does CrossPointe believe?  Along with the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the inerrancy of scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit there are a number of other core beliefs that we adhere to. If you'd like a more thorough discussion on what we believe please see the "Belief" tab by clicking here www.ag.org.

How does CrossPointe practice baptism and communion? We believe that both baptism and communion are spiritual practices that God invites us to participate in. After becoming a follower of Jesus Christ we instruct people to be baptized into water by immersion as is the pattern throughout the Scriptures. We also invite and encourage any follower of Jesus to share communion in the context of community as often as possible, as is also the pattern in the Scriptures.

What do I need to do to follow Jesus?  We believe that the heart of following Jesus is entering into a surrended relationship with Him.  You must recognize your rebellion against God, acknowledge your need for God's grace, accept the forgiveness that is offered by way of Jesus' death on the cross, embrace the reality of Jesus' resurrection, and commit yourself to the life-long pursuit of being a follower of Jesus Christ. It's what God created you for!

I'd like to get more connected, how can I do that? Along with being in our Sunday morning service the best way is by participating in one of our weekly Life Groups. Additionally, there are several opportunities to strategically use your gifts and skills to partner with us in our mission and in doing so, meet numerous like-minded people.

How is the leadership of CrossPointe organized? CrossPointe has a leadership team that provides oversight for the spiritual health of the church community. While the lead pastor oversees all staff, it is the work of many volunteers who assist in the casting and implementing of God's vision for our community. These volunteers are also instrumental in equipping and empowering those participating in our mission, and in carrying out the various decisions and responsibilities that make for a growing, healthy church family.

Where do the offerings go? All contributions go to accomplish the mission for which God has called us on together as a spiritual community. We take very seriously the reality that all funds entrusted to CrossPointe Church are actually God's funds, and we are responsible for being the most strategic and effective managers of those funds that we can be. Along with the obvious operational costs, salaries, and regular necessary supplies, we also financially support over 35 missionaries and missions organizations on a monthly basis. If needed, we also provide financial support to those in our church and the surrounding community who find themselves in a challenging situation. Our monthly financial statements are open to review by all church members and an annual budget report is provided each year to members. Gifts can be given either on a Sunday morning, through the mail, or on-line.
